Wow, I lived in Flagstaff Arizona back in the early eighties. Just off of Hwy 89 near Mt. Elden, and I recall the story of a bad wild fire that burned one side of Mt. Elden back in the mid 70's I believe. One area of forrestation close to our neighborhood near KOA camp ground was completely blackened with burnt-out trees sticking up. What an eerie sight that was. The whole time I lived there 1978 to 1984 no major fires ever happened. My actual home town and birth place is Kingman Arizona. Then again it's been extremely dry and arid throughout the west in recent years. Hope all is well for those residents soon.

It is very unnerving that someone started this fire, maybe intentionally. I hope proper charges are brought!!

dude probably took a crap - wiped his butt- and burned the paper to leave no trace-- then kicked dirt on turds--- probably missed a tiny ember-- he still broke restrictions- but seriously doubt it was intentional as it sounded like he was a nomadic traveler- houseless by choice.. unfortunate-- but ive even had fires creep out under fire rings-- now i dig a hole then ring it... fire is sneaky

You know the tacos were spicy when wiping sets the toilet paper on fire...

'a man burning toilet paper...' - Could the reporter be any more vaguely enigmatic?
