Leptotes bicolor is one of the more unusual plants in the Cattleya alliance. It pokes out its spikes from the little crease in those fat leaves. Good luck growing it potted, mine did not appreciate it (I nearly lost it) and is much happier on a mount.

Hi Annabel, just found your channel and was curious to see what you got from Elsner. I have a few orchids from her myself. A couple of years ago, I actually visited the nursery and was amazed to realise that Regina Elsner basically runs her nursery as one woman show. :)

Fabulous haul, I love them all....I couldn't pronounce have of these orchids one day, I will be able to get a different species other than Phalaenopsis, but I do like them! :)) tfs :)

Leptotes bicolor... beautiful big plant!! As a comparison, mine from Schwerter came with 3 leaves (sticks) and has not even grown to the size of your’s!!

Interesting! I'm just a newbie to orchids. I've recently discovered that Paphiopedilums are my thing. I didn't know miniature wandas existed! Could you recommend an easy miniture orchid for a beginner?

Elsner is a good nursery but for me, they don't have a large assortment for me. Met the owners myself and they are nice, honest people.
