Is this the most badass Porsche 912 in the world?

Показать описание
Who has been wanting to build the lightest, best HP to weight old school Porsche and wants to skip the 4 year process it takes to build? Well, this auction is for you!
Our client had a goal of making a car lighter than an original 911R and with better power-to-weight ratio than a 997 GT3.
Pete Sorensen of P.B.R. Restorations did the build and it’s spectacular. You may have seen this at the EASY R Gruppe meeting a few months ago or at Werks Reunion in Monterey where it took third in class in the extremely difficult open Sports Purpose class.
Starting with a Light Ivory 1966 912 it went through a 4 year bare metal restoration and was finished in period correct Leaf Green Glasurit after acid dipping. Extensive weight saving measures were taken including EB Motorsports fiberglass front fenders, hood, bumpers, deck-lid, lightweight carpet etc. while weighing in at 1773 lbs dry.
The motor is a 2.8L, based on a fully race prepped 2.7 7R case with 2.8L cylinders and custom pistons with 9.8:1 compression. The motor runs with Clewett crankfire ignition, PMO 46 carbs, GE80 cams and a fully prepped shuffle pinned 2.7 case.
The transmission is a fully rebuilt close ratio 901 gearbox with AFMSX gearset and Wavetrac LSD. Suspension is the full suite of Rebel Racing suspension with PMB restored 70S front calipers and Wide M rears along with restored Deep Six Fuchs with hearts. Cooling is handled by a single Carrera cooler and finned Elephant racing oil lines.
It now has 850 miles of break in and is ready to be enjoyed!
