14:46 "What if your pastor was remote?" What a simple statement in January 2020 - if only we knew how very real this would become for most churches!

Low budget church. We use vmix connected to a canon camera via sparkocam. It works. We have a basic pc system with an NVIDIA gt760. We stream to facebook, youtube and periscope at the same time. So in my opinion for low budget churches with a professional mindset, Vmix is the best option... and btw we are still using the 90 day free trial..

We're using OBS. It's working great for what we need. We only have one camera right now, so we're using that trick with zooming in through OBS that was in one of the previous videos. Thanks for making these videos! I love learning more about this stuff so I can do my job better.

You might want to check out the Studio or Premium ManyCam. The only negative areas are: 1) Scheduled YouTube and Facebook require you to add the RTMP server and key. ( Unscheduled live streaming does not require this manual entry. ) 2) Seeing and replying to comments from YouTube and Facebook users must be done external to the software. However, the plus side are ease to added various sources and layouts.

I have another example of why you'd want/need to use Skype/Zoom/whatever in a service. A few years ago, we had a few kids go through our pre-baptism class. The main facilitators got shipped over to the UK between the time the classes were done and the baptisms actually happened. We Skyped them in so they could address the kids directly (had them up on screen) and they they could witness the baptisms from the UK. It went pretty well. Also, we have a few smaller congregations with fewer personnel resources that we're looking into collaborating worship services with occasionally. We plan to have remote readers and speakers and such. Much like your remote pastor example you mentioned.

We are using vMix right now. Still learning though. We use triggers a lot to change what our streaming audience sees versus the people attending in person.

We initially tried x split but had problems with stability, After that we started using OBS with a lot of NDI functionality. We did purchase a PCI HDMI 4k card for a dedicated camera but found we were actually getting better video from I Phone video using NDI apps (We had to experiment with Apps we had a lot of audio issues with the NDI HX camera app). We found with OBS it is all about building your technology slowly and not trying to achieve to much all at once. We are using a 12 core AMD PC as the main OBS system but have other PC's connected one is running easy worship and we import the presentation screen via NDI and use a blue background so chroma key all lyrics and scriptures onto live footage. We are currently running 3 Iphones as cameras and I have converted standard car phone mounts to either mike stands or camera tripods. All the I phones are connected using an apple camera adapter (has a usb3 and a lightning power feed) and then a usb3 to gigabit adapter into network I have made sure all networking is straight into one gigabit switch to PC. We are recording at Home atm as we are a mobile church but we are very aware of the social distancing rules in Australia. The main space has a 6.5 person limit and the program room has a 2 person limit and we have another room for others. They have relaxed the law a little and you are allowed 10 people max for the purposes of recording and streaming (They regard voluntary work as work allowing for our wonderful team to do this work for the Lord). but 4m square per person and 1.5m between. The Host is pre recorded, we were doing very limited worship which we found made it very difficult for the preacher to move in the spirit. Last week we did full worship live and the atmosphere was completely different the preacher really moved in the spirit. Honestly what we as a small team have achieved with OBS is amazing and each week we are utilizing and adding new features, we are really moving towards getting zoom or Skype integrated soon as our church really is family and we need to see and communicate with members just to keep us connected. I am also looking at getting audio mixed through our mixer into reaper and then OBS have got the connections in place using reastream and am using ERA effects which are amazing (But through Reaper Channels) my main issue is syncing audio to video and having time to get that organized but once that is done we will have a pretty amazing setup. So Im an audio Guy and have basically had to learn video and streaming tech in a very short time. OBS has been so good to work with it has been very reliable and so easy to use. we are streaming to FB at 720p and I am not going past 8% cpu usage with all sources connected. I really don't like having to get a new stream key every time we connect live though it would be nice just to hit the stream button and have it work.... Might try 4k to you tube to really give the system a test but our church family are connected through our FB page atm so we are limited to 720p. A couple of your videos have been very helpful especially I think mentioning streaming to FB in mono as it has 128kb limit on audio

So why call what someone else was doing garbage? I get that it was likely not good, but someone gave their time and effort to do something to help the church and spread the gospel. Please be kind with your words

Hey great Video, I think that another really important element is you as a church intended on doing IMAG. Some of these systems on the lower scale may present latency issues. Great Job and Topic
