EVAN and Stephanie met on a Filipino dating website and quickly hit it off. Evan explained: "I decided to download a Filipino dating app, just to see what's out there and right away I matched with Stephanie." Weeks later, Evan flew to the Philippines and they made things official. In order to move Stephanie over to the US, they had 90 days to get married. Now husband and wife, the pair share their relationship online. Stephanie revealed: "The comments we get online are like: 'you could not get someone in the US', 'she's going to milk your money dry boy'." Evan said: "When people say Stephanie is my maid, I don't take it personally, because I know that we're both happy and we have a good thing going between us." Misleading title! He didn't "Pay 20K for wife", he had 20K in expenses from flying back and forth, bringing her on vacation, and doing the Fiancee visa, and paying for her flights. He did not have to directly pay her, or pay her family. Dating site was only paid a couple hundred dollars at most. Anyone that says he "paid" for a wife is full of it.

I personally know a few Filipinos who met their husbands the same way. Some have been married for decades. No, they aren't all sitting at home doing choirs, they actually have jobs.

I also personally know of one that ended tragically, there are others as well so its not always safe. There is more of a risk for the female than him.
