In an **AC circuit**, current flows in both directions, but it does so because of the **alternating voltage source** that drives it. In a **DC circuit**, current flows from the **negative (-)** to **positive (+)** terminal of a battery without any external force or EMF.

in a DC circuit, current flows from the negative terminal to the positive terminal, which is the opposite direction of electron flow. This is because the conventional current flow is defined as the flow of positive charges, which flow from the positive terminal to the negative terminal .
