Thanks for the information. Greatly appreciated. We recently purchased a home on the Northern East Coast, that came with a Cherry Tree that's about 35 feet tall. I believe the tree was mainly grown for food for wildlife. But we been noticing a great number of raccoons, visiting. As much as we love the Cherry Tree, we really can't stand the unwanted visitors of raccoons. Took notice several parts of the trunk is oozing out a dark color liquid. We wanted to hire an Aborist to give us some advice but each time we called they were to busy for the season. So after watching this video might give us some hope. Our only set back is the tree is 35 feet tall. I guess we will be lightly pruning the lower limbs till someone can bring it down for good.

Damn, Jeremy, I didn’t know you were a super arborist rocking the red protos and green Pit Vipers these days. You’re gonna be in the industry a long time, mate—long, long time.

Some wisdom for present and future climbs:

“To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.” (Steve Prefontaine)

“Our enemies generally have too low an opinion of us; our friends, too high an opinion of us; somewhere between the dark territory of our enemies and friends, the truth exists.”

Keep fighting the good fight, and always remember, never forget: what do you want, how badly do you want it—go.

May you one day experience that climb beyond dreams when the cuts are clean, the view is sublime, and your movements as pure as the golden gods we all secretly emulate.

Good stuff until I hear “heal”
Trees don’t heal they seal, it’s an important difference.
Again lots of great advise on pruning otherwise
