Thank you for explaining. This video's title is "L'Hopital's rule", so, the problems are solved by l'Hopital's rule.
By the way, as for "problem a", there is another way. x^2+3x+2=(x+2)(x+1) ∴ (x+2)/(x^2+3x+2)=1/(x+1) → 1/(-2+1) = -1 (x → -2) I think this method is also OK.
