Great Job. Here's a tip for next time: after you've poured your molding compound, gently tap the bottom of the container against the table in a vibrating motion. This will force any air bubbles to the surface, thus guaranteeing a blemish free mold and candle.

Some tips:
-When making mold use container that you can find if old one gets broken due taking mold out(like jugurt cans in video)
-Also try find something that has proper size and shape to it easyly slip mold out afterwards (cone shape).
-When making mold pour little bit more silicone into mold as afterwards you can cut nice cone into hole to help you pour wax into mold (you spill far less).
-When making the mold brush etc silicone into objects surface so its making perfect surface, after pouring you can use anything that vibrates, like electric toothbrush with out its head, shawers that has vibration, your sound systems bass or actual vibrator to vibrate the air bubles out of the mold.
-When pouring the wax into mold, rotate the mold so you gets start up surface and it lessens or removes all imperfections.
-If your really looking to make cool candles that you dont ever going to light up, for decoration use etc, or your just so touchy about details, you can fix and fine tune your molded part with soldering iron and really steady hand (Heat adjustable iron with multiple tips is advised for this job)
-If making really detailed object try to set object that your silicone molding, so that the less detailed area is upwards (the most airbubless will concentrate into that are or use vacuum system to get all air out (really expensive and more used in high tech molding) Placing part like this also helps if your cleaning the underside/making it flatter, depending your object and desired results.
-Dont try or at least be VERY carefull and design your mold properly, if your object has extended details, like horns, dicks, tails, wings and etc (wtf your molding in that case!?) as taking ready object from mold could brake those parts in process, if mold is not designed this in mind!!
-When placing the candle heart string(what ever its called) think the placement and how you make sure it goes in desired route. If the heart goes too close the side it will melt the side, giving wax way out, that then gives more heart to fire, that burns hotter, that melts more wax and end result should look like hulk with green goo poured into his head. Also this could possible cause fire hazord if candle design is something where over heated wax brakes the area on candle head could fall next to curtains etc, so keep this in mind when designing your custom candles.
-If part is really complicated you could do two part mold, where you mold half of the object and make some guide patters (interlocking nubs and S figures). This can be done when silicone is still movable or just so you can press some shallow holes and draw S figures into peace. Then when this is hardened, you put mold release or something to prevent silicone sticking into another silicone mold part and pour other half of the mold. When hardened you should able to pull two mold parts a part, remove the object, fine tune your mold, place back together thanks to locking system you made and secure with rubber bans etc you see fit(i suggest using two stiff cardboard, wood, metal or plastic plates etch side of the mold and using some kind of clamps.

Here some tips that come to my mind. I'm not most certainly are any kind of expert, in fact i havent ever made even one mold, but this is what i have gathered from youtube videos. There is ton of great videos how to make silicone and other kind of molds so i recommend to checking those out before making your molds.
Hope this helps!

To prevent the wax from catching on fire while your melting it, put it in a hear safe container floating on a pot of boiling water. It helps... a lot.

You pushed the video over the top when you showed what happens when you add water to the fire! Great Job!

Good adding the warning!!! A lot of people dont know this fryer effect is similar on all burning oils.

Using a double-boiler setup helps prevent fires, as well as keeps cookware wax-free, and can be easier to handle:  use a soup can, or a soda can with its top cut off, some nuts and bolts for weight, and a small pot for boiling water.   Before heating, place the can in the pot, and slowly add water to the pot until the pot is half filled, or the can begins to float.  If the latter, add more weight, or use less water.  Wax usually melts before water boils, so it's only necessary to heat the water to steaming for the wax to melt.

Melting wax without a double boiler should be a completely smokeless operation.  Any smoke at all coming from the wax is a very bad sign, and the heat should be shut off immediately if the wax begins smoking.

And, a bit of wax crayon can be used for colouring, if wax dye is not available, or economical.

4:44 my brother did that inside our house when he was trying to make a candle. We now have a 10 foot diameter scorch mark on our ceiling -_-

Thank you for making this video! Every other mold making video ive seen on here makes it look so complicated. restored my hopes for a candle business lmao

next time, swirl the mold around before adding the wick. you had a bunch of air bubbles. also instead of cutting straight through cut at a jagged pattern helps it lock together better and just tape it instead of putting it back in the container, look at the YouTube channel testeds videos for some tips on silicone molding!

A good tip on mold making, a thin stream of silicone from a higher distance above the container is best, it helps gas bubbles break out of the silicone while it's pouring.

The simplicity is wonderful, makes this doable for beginners.

I love making candles and you make it much more simple than everywhere else I've checked. I've wax on hand but what was the estimated cost of the silicone agent?

bubbles in the wax were actually in the mold..
to avoid this, when pouring your silicone, you need to do whats called a high pour to minimise the amount of trapped air.

Poor safety instructions, you should keep a lid right next to you when melting the wax, so that you could put out the fire as fast as possible. The wick should always run right through the whole candle, not just the upper part of it. You also might want to make the mold to the middle of the container. And you shouldn't use any metallic items with a pan like that, they'll ruin the pan's coating in a heartbeat.
