actually them having a "three-handled key to the city" ready to give them at a moment's notice makes me wonder if they had already planned on doing the ceremony at some time, and they just expedited the plans to help Scoot.

It was awesome to finally see Scootaloo's parents, and to think they were based off of Steve Irwin and Jane Goodall, and i really enjoyed the ending of the episodes, the CMC's both earned and deserved that 3 horseshoe key to the city a perfect way to end the CMC's story arc!

I think the title (The Last Crusade) is a reference to Indiana Jones, since scootaloos parents are kind of like Indy.

I loved your reactions in this one. Though I have to say I have little sympathy for Scoot's parents I mean seriously 2 day's notice for that kind of major change. Not just for her but everyone elses plans they just would have just selfishly upended with that. Imagine her aunts move to Ponyville only to find their niece was taken to another country and their little brother/brother in law informed them via a letter (which didn't arrive) not even taking the time to stop by and say hello.

I know this react is super old by internet standards by now, but every time I watch this particular episode, it hits hard because of how relatable it is. Having your life turned upside down like that, pre-internet as a standard, like Scootaloo's parents attempt to do, was a standard of living for me as a military child. You'd move every four or so years, and as the offspring, you'd have no say in where you were going or if you could stay behind really. So personally this hit hella hard and I'm at least glad there was a compromise for Scoot in the end. <3
