Dude this literally tells me how to do the opposite of what the title said. I don't want my story to be 15 seconds long, I want it to be longer. A few months ago Instagram said you could do this now but I can't figure out how.

I don't get it when I see some other peoples stories they can share videos/stories that seem to be much longer than 15 second in one clip, where my story or if i share a video in story it cuts out automatically at 15 seconds. Some seem to have this feature some do not. I tried changing to creator account, no difference :S

How do you make a story longer than 15 secs without cutting it into separate pieces? I want to add a piece of music to play continuously, but I can’t because u have to upload music separate with every split video …

Press *your story* then select *Reel* instead of story, then *length* and it will give you the option to upload up to 60 secs video.

what about sharing reels? friends can share them full length, mine cuts off after 15sec...

Actually no it’s not longer than 15 sec, it’s the same as before, there is another option when each story is more than 15 sec

That only works for i phones or certain counties. Please do more research. For varying scenarios.

I've noticed I was able to do this only when wifi was available. When I used cellular data it wouldn't let me upload anything longer that 15 sec. Maybe wifi makes the difference?
