Whether this story is true or not, it's a worthy mythological past for the British people, just as Livy's mythological history was worthy of the Romans. It is quite evident to all the world that the English-speaking peoples are divinely appointed with a manifest destiny to rule over mankind, that we must bestow our enlightened rule upon the lesser peoples of the world and that they are obliged to serve us. Our history and myths should reflect this reality.

Notice how any linguistic evidence was avoided, such as how a Semitic speaking people became Aryan speaking. Neither was there any genetic evidence, which you would have thought would be used as proof in a 21st century program on ancestors.
