I think I remember hearing in director's commentary of the movie that when they were filming the tank battle scene, they had to choreograph it in a specific way because they didn't want to over exert the tiger's transmission with certain sharp turns fearing that they would break it.

Now that is history, showing history! I'm glad that the museum was willing to let this piece of history be added to a movie!

Ive been to Bovington Tank Museum multiple times, Fury shows up there from time to time, its awesome

Also in the Tiger fight scene they laid down black top then dirt and grass so not to damage its tracks.
It was captured in N Africa when a British shell lodged under the turret and jamme it..

I think it’s cool to think that a Tiger from WW2 that fought in a battle possibly getting a few kills on infantry, now is being used for movie in modern times.

Yeah, sadly, WW2 tanks can get "type-cast" into a roll that they can't get out of. I guess this same Tiger tried out for several Sherman, T-34/85 and even an M-1Abrams roll, but, was turned down. After a certain T-34 disguised itself as a Tiger in Kelly's Hero's, studio's are a lot more careful in their staffing choices.😔

Great SHOULD have been a Tiger II., aka the King Tiger.... But by that point in onThe war, Tiger Is would have been Exceedingly RARE. And there Is an operational King Tiger in France!

I'm by no means a ww2 history buff (still love learning about it) but it's so crazy that we only have 1 working Tiger tank in the world. You'd think we'd have lots of relics from the world wars left around for the sake of history, regardless of what side they're from

There are functioning WW2 ranks of all types except Tiger 1s, they were so feared they were destroyed wherever they came to rest. 😂
