How to Secure Azure SQL Databases?|Data Discovery & Classification||Azure Defender for SQL| Auditing

Показать описание
In this video, we will create the database using custom templates and apply classification, defender, and auditing.
Playlists:
AZ500(Microsoft Azure Security Technologies) playlist:
AZ700(Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions) playlist:
AZ900(Microsoft Azure Fundamentals) playlist:
SC300(Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator):
Machine learning playlist
Protection against attacks such as SQL injection and data exfiltration.
Ability to discover and classify database information into categories such as Confidential.
Ability to audit database server and database queries and log events.
Vulnerability assessment is an easy to configure service that can discover, track, and help you remediate potential database vulnerabilities. It provides visibility into your security posture as part of Azure secure score and includes the steps to resolve security issues and enhance your database fortifications.
Advanced threat protection detects anomalous activities indicating unusual and potentially harmful attempts to access or exploit your SQL server. It continuously monitors your database for suspicious activities and provides action-oriented security alerts on anomalous database access patterns. These alerts provide the suspicious activity details and recommended actions to investigate and mitigate the threat.
Data Discovery & Classification is built into Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and Azure Synapse Analytics. It provides basic capabilities for discovering, classifying, labeling, and reporting the sensitive data in your databases.
Your most sensitive data might include business, financial, healthcare, or personal information. It can serve as infrastructure for:
Helping to meet standards for data privacy and requirements for regulatory compliance.
Various security scenarios, such as monitoring (auditing) access to sensitive data.
Controlling access to and hardening the security of databases that contain highly sensitive data.
Auditing for Azure SQL Database and Azure Synapse Analytics tracks database events and writes them to an audit log in your Azure storage account, Log Analytics workspace, or Event Hubs.
Auditing also:
Helps you maintain regulatory compliance, understand database activity, and gain insight into discrepancies and anomalies that could indicate business concerns or suspected security violations.
Enables and facilitates adherence to compliance standards, although it doesn't guarantee compliance. For more information, see the Microsoft Azure Trust Center where you can find the most current list of SQL Database compliance certifications.
