I honestly felt comfortable with the 18 months time frame. Making the time for each TH shorter is I think mainly a business decisions. We''ll what happens in the future.

the lab time has always been extremely scuffed, but I think it's mostly because most people won't actually max everything in the lab, only the troops they need

The lab time can be cut in almost half as a f2p just by buying research potions from raid medal shop. 3 24h skips a week. Not exactly 50% but it's 42%.

All I can say is every townhall the game has fully changed since th10
Th11 introduce eagle and warden changed the meta on offense and defense forever.
Th12 townhall became a weapon fully change the game system.
Th13 new hero 2 new defense which was deadly in attack and defense.
Th14 pets fully changed the way we use heros.
Th15 spell towers and monolith defensive meta and game fully changed with the new pets.
Th16 Merged defenses and root rider which changed the game again and how people play.
Th17 is exactly the same. Game is about to change yet again and I just hope it's for the better...

Fix the starry ore income.. It been months since I maxed the gauntlet… and still haven’t maxed anything since then. I stopped the frozen arrow at 17 and been working the fireball.

All fun and games but the Anime Archer Queen skin looks ugly in-game. All of them actually.

Edit: Epic skins are too expensive but we get crappy skins these past few months. Supercell, are you even trying?

To save free to play players they should make the lab upgrade 2 max but separate 1 troop 1 spell

In my opinion the lab time was OK before equipments, but it's not properly balanced now.

This because if you consider using 3 research potions with your raid medals every week (which was the only raid medals magic item that reduced time rather than resources) the upgrade numbers get closer as you need to add the hero upgrade time into the structure time because they share the same builders.

Using 3 potions every week would mean that the research used ~30% less time than the one written on clash ninja, making the numbers in th14 (for example) both close to 6 months.

But now with equipments you use your raid medals for ores, delaying your lab upgrades.

So either you choose equipment or lab, which we all know what we'll prioritise because we can use a couple of hammers every th upgrade to have our preferred army maxed in like 1 week

Honestly, I think what you said about the Lab isnt THAT big of a problem.

Most people wont use ALL the upgrades they will be doing, so its fine to leave 5-7 of them and "rush" to the next town hall.

There's allso the 3 easily affordable, weekly Research potions that people can buy from the Trader, that cut 12d every month, and theres also a few of them given out for free in challenges.

Along with that, theres books/hammers of fighting that can do a good job at taking out the longest upgrades in each town hall.

Then, there's also the few people that like to sit on a town hall when its all maxed out and all the buildings fit the theme, to simply enjoy it, look at their work and feel a sense of achievement

I really feel there must be some distinguished lab scheme for upgrading the Elixir & DE troops/spells or maybe for Troops and spells.. it's high time they bifurcate the laboratory upgradea

I think implementing hard mode into top legends league, war, and cwl is a great idea. Maybe at like 5800-6000 trophies there’s a second legend league where it’s hard mode only. And for cwl they can have it implemented into the highest rank. And for regular war they should make a ranked system just like cwl has and do the same

The problem with introducing new content for lower th lvls is then it would technically be rushed for higher th players that's the problem with the equipment higher th players had to upgrade from lvl to max but lower th players had to upgrade just to their th max so if u r a new player the equipment ain't a problem but for older players it is

What im waiting for th17:
-Legend league per town halls, to make each town hall level worth playing and enjoyable, and not just a temporary level that u cant wait to pass on.
-Ranked war system with elo and hard mode (assuming the meta is gonna be the same), to outbalance the regular war state in which it's automatic draw for any clan who is champion league level.
-Hard mode in Legend League from 5k trophy and up. It is designed to be competitive (ur placings are based on performance against other players) so why do we still have the normal casual friendly meta there?
-Hard mode being refined to be more competitive and punish easy army composition. Hard mode is worth 2 lines of code and took 5 months to release. It is absolutely not ready yet. Most hard mode war still have spam army as most used. That is not competitive yet. (i would suggest hero equipement nerf which i think is the reason why spam army are so good atm).

So in conclusion: Make the game as easy as u want but also make aspect of the game that are supposed to be competitive REALLY competitive. Although i would also argue for the current meta being too easy. As someone who is somewhat competitive it's really ungrateful to draw against less skilled clan because perfect war is so easy to reach, and even tho u're better than these clan, u can't exceed that perfect war score.

the simple solution is to split the lab into either troops and spells, or regulart and dark elixir, so there are two labs. With reduced building qty coming through more merges, this would grant an easy new building addition

the fact that the lab upgrades time is almost double than the buidings upgrade time is crazy. even if you add the hero upgrades, you will still have to wait for the lab to get finished. at this pace, new players will NEVER reach the new town hall. Even th14 players may struggle to keep up with this pace. either the new town hall release intervals must be larger (something which not many people want) or the upgrade times must be lower (which will let new player keep up with the new stuff added to the game)

Itzu are you somewhat lost your mind or just trying to be dumb ...
This offensive state of game is worse than ever...
I'm pushing in legend league with the paid bases, though I'm getting continuously -320 on defense, it is frustrating to manage on work as well as in-game building the base...
They have to make the game as hard as it can be like it was on th 15...
Also they are adding new hero on th 17... Do you really think that makes sense to make game more easy...
I highly recommend again and again that make the game as hard as it can be as it was on th 15 on back days...
This current scenario of game is frustrating.

It's because research poitions is available. Unlike builder potions where it's only increased by 10 hrs in 1 hrs, research potions increase them by 24 hrs in 1 hrs. Unlike buillder potions, research potions is available in raid shop 3 of them every week. It only cost 200 raid points. Builder potion is available for 30 cwl medals or 285 gems but research potions is available only at 20 cwl medals or 120 gems.
