I went to jail for 1 week. There was a lady the year before that was pregnant and the guards took their sweet ass time when she was giving birth. She had to have the baby herself in the back of the cop car while cuffed. The cop didn't help her at all. Due to the position she was in, due to being cuffed, her baby was born with brain damage because of oxygen loss. She's currently suing the jail. I hope she wins.

I watched a Korean drama about a woman, 19 years old, who hit the man who assaulted her with a rock and he ended up dying so she went to prison for murder and she found out she was pregnant while in prison and her cell mates were so mad at the system that put her in there because she was the sweetest girl and didn’t belong there, it was a good movie it’s called 2037

This is so sad because it happens so often. Horrible horrible situations. No matter what women should be treated equal when giving birth.

Do not feel sorry for her character. The guard who got her pregnant was transferred to the woman's prison because he incompetently shot an inmate while manging the yard tower at the men's prison. He fired a shot at an inmate during a yard fight, killing him. While he was in the women's prison, he was targeted by Cherry (pregnant woman). She faked sick and then pulled him under the stairs to seduce him. He gave in (last mistake he'd ever make), and she stabbed him in the neck in the neck, telling him to "say hi" to her friend as he died. She then pretended to be escaping a violent rape to claim self-defense.



This is one of the rare scenarios where I am not sure if consent was an issue. She wasn't really in a vulnerable position, considering she maintained the upper hand the entire time. She targeted him to murder him. Power dynamics, in this case, were atypical for sure. He was a bad guard. She was a bad prisoner. They both deserved what they got. The baby is the only innocent charter.

As someone who works in a jail we are NOT supposed to place pregnant women in any kind of restraints

This Is a true Senior, And I know I'm Not explaining it correctly, but it Happened. The young lady was jailed in Denver's, Adams County jail, it's actually ALL on Cell Footage. She BEGGED for Help, to No Avail, and they Left her in there by herself with the newborn for HOURS! With wet fluids and birth blood nothing for the newborn, and in EXTREME pain.

I was just thinginking, do they not have softer restraints? If someone has to be restrained, wouldn’t it be better to do it with a softer material than metal, I’m almost 100% sure stuff like that exists

My Mother gave birth to me in a prison cell
And they refused to listen to her when she said she needed to see a doctor because she was in labor. Treated her less than a piece of trash on the street.

That is BS as a former correctional officer when women go to the hospital pregnant we only put the cuffs in the front of them and only on their hands never on their feet or cross their body they could get injured or trip or anything. This is BS.🤬

The mother could be the most horrible person in the world but that baby that hasn't even come into this world yet is completely innocent. If you don't want to protect the mother AT LEAST protect the baby
