Hi Brad, this is easy: Planet Ocean every time, because it has the 89XX movement with the independent hour hand and slightly more manageable lug to lug measurement. I prefer the dial too. Cheers from England 🍻

I have both, but older models. For special occasion I wear PO. For everyday, I wear the blue Sea Master.
If you have to pick one and dont might the little extra weight of the PO. I would pick the PO.

Have PO 8500 42mm and Seamaster 8800, but if I had to choose, I'd go with PO for the looks and aesthetics, but not if it will be the only watch as for many the thickness might not work with shirts. I wear it on my 15.5cm and don't care. :)

It’s an easy choice for me I love the Planet Ocean it’s going to be my next watch. I much prefer the bracelet and bezel on the PO.

I think the SMP300M will be a future classic. The PO is nice but not as beautiful as the 300M

I've owned them both. Planet ocean is superior. Fit the wrist better. It just became uncormfortable due to its weight. Planet ocean on a better rubber strap would be the best.

Owned both but the po was the keeper. Bracelet is much better and the overall wrist presence. Would’ve liked to try the 300 on rubber w/deployment clasp but didn’t want to spend 600+ cad to find out..

I have the SMP300 and I wish I had the jumping hour hand from the 8900 movement. But that’s because I’m constantly traveling coast to coast and changing time zones. Otherwise would have no issues with the 8800. I do like that the 300 is thinner, but then again I’m a 300 owner watching 600m reviews so what does that tell you 🤷🏻‍♂️
