The singer posted two TikToks about ‘f*cking weird’ behavior, stalking, and entitlement she’s experienced from some fans who think they know her just because she’s famous.

Im sorry, but people who make the argument that fans pay for her to exist and she should be perpetually available to them is completely weird. They pay for tickets to concerts, she performs brilliantly. End of transaction, end of her responsibility to them. She makes music, they buy her album, listen, connect and enjoy it. End of her active role in their life.
People immediately want to elevate someone to a 'role model' stature so that the next minute they can call them 'terrible' and bring them down based on their own imaginary standards. I dont think this was the best way to handle the situation since it just exposes her to more unwanted attention and controversy, but she's setting her boundries quite clearly and hopefully a majority of sane people will now respect that.

I mean, I think there's a right and a wrong way to approach someone. To come up to a celebrity and feel entitled to their time and attention is crazy. But I've seen a celebrity in person and been like, "Oh wow, I'm such a big fan." If they had been having a bad day they probably would have said thanks and moved along, but instead we had a quick conversation, they introduced me to their family, and offered to take a photo. And I think as fans, we just need to accept whatever level of interaction their comfortable with at that time. You can acknowledge a person/celebrity and still be respectful about their wishes and boundaries.

The cycle of this continues. It happens with every new person that becomes a celebrity and doesn’t have a foundation of people to adequately prepare them for it.
I’d love to think these words will help, but a new group of young people will come up and not have heard this and they will do the same thing… just like people did before with celebrities until they see their celebrity’s mental health decline from paparazzi and ridiculous fan behavior.
