Here’s a tip for dirt bikes/supermoto riders. Learn the bike slightly to the left or right then go for neutral. Helps most times.

Tip on how to fix this:

Make adjustments on the clutch lever. Why?

Try turning off the ignition and shift to neutral, if you can find the neutral easily with the bike off, it means that you don't have enough room when pulling the clutch lever to disengage the friction plates.
Meaning, you're shifting the gears to neutral while you're still in the friction zone. It only works when the bike is moving, but if stationary, it freaking hard.

To fix it, make some adjustments to your clutch lever so that you can pull far enough to fully disengage the friction plates.

For those who don't know:
the p-38 can opener is a small hinged metal tool primarily used by the military to open ration cans usually about an inch and a half long it's literally just a little piece of stamped metal with a tiny little blade that flips out and it was designed specifically for opening those old field rations like the c-rations and k-rations back in the day and even some of the early mres its not fancy at all no moving parts really other than that little hinge but man it was absolutely essential because without it you were just staring at a can of beans or peaches or that mystery meat hash with no way to get it open unless you wanted to smash it open with a rock which believe me some guys tried but the p-38 even though it looks flimsy it was tough as nails literally never broke never bent never rusted out completely and it just always worked youd hook the little pointy part into the can and then just kind of pivot it around the edge cutting a little bit at a time and sometimes it would get really messy and youd get juice all over your fingers but it always got the job done and it was like this rite of passage because everyone had one everyone knew how to use it and if you lost yours you were basically out of luck until you could borrow one from someone else it was also incredibly versatile too like besides opening cans guys would use it to clean their fingernails to open cardboard boxes as a makeshift screwdriver for tiny screws or even to strip wires in a pinch it was just this universally useful little piece of metal that became almost legendary and even though it was so small and simple it was something every soldier remembered it was just always there quietly doing its job a tiny but mighty tool that saved countless meals and prevented a lot of frustration so yeah the p-38 can opener a true unsung hero of military logistics right there a little piece of metal with a whole lot of history and utility packed into its tiny form even though its kinda obsolete now with modern mre bags its still a symbol for a lot of veterans you know that little church key that always had your back
