She's so goofy in the coolest, mommiest, teachery sense. This is a complement!

Unfortunately Mr. Way, it looks like you have a sprain in one of your filaments. Any recent collisions, maybe a dwarf galaxy or two, you might not have noticed?

Just so everyone knows; I'm galacto-intolerant so I can't have any galactoseismology.

It is shameful that only 72% of people answered that question about the dominant source of mass in our solar system correctly.

I always love her enthusiasm. (How can you not be excited about this stuff?) And on the shallow side, I also love her hair!

I’ve realized in researching astronomy that when astronomers find something moving how they they wouldn’t expect, the first thing they always think of is “did this thing get hit by another thing”. Why so much colliding

4:09 As an aside, now I want to take my kid to story time at the library when Caitlin is reading on the Magic Storytime Carpet. Hank would probably be good with silly voices, too. (Pretty sure Reid would make the kids cry with some gruff, scary voice, though.)

I want to know how come our galaxy, and many other spiral galaxies, have that bar structure in their centers?

The “high-velocity clouds” were formed because a “mommy velocity cloud” and a “daddy velocity cloud” called the intergalactic stork to order up a fledgling cloud. Then upon delivery they spiked the younger velocity cloud with an unknown number of shots of caffeine and espresso!

One hundred million years? Sadly, at the current rate, we'll have destroyed our only home and killed each other long before that, because we're so intelligent (read arrogant).

Caitlin has decreed!
We now live in the Monkey Way. I welcome this unexpected change away from the confection based name we used to enjoy.
