You're missing those bites because your jigs too heavy try a 1/2 oz or even lighter if no current, make sure your hooks are sharp, you can also trim a 1/8-1/4 inch of the "beard" weedless guard off your jig hope this helps. Tight lines bubba

I never get action with black n blue at Lopez, but a lot of 3-5 pounders on PB&J and pump jigs. I haven't thrown the black n blue as much but I'm getting nothing on it. Same at Santa Marg

Thanks for the jig possibility. I prefer a living rubber skirt to a silicone skirt or a combination of rubber and silicone for jigs. (Like Bass Union jigs). I would not be interested in an all silicone skirt. If you can offer living rubber, I’ll try a few. Cost???
