Toejam and Earl in Panic on Funkatron - Sega Mega Drive - Gameplay

Just a quick look at the intro and first level of the sequel to the original Toejam and Earl on the Sega megadrive.
When this game was released i felt very disapointed with the change in direction.It is only recently that i have given the game another chance and surprisingly now love it! The game has fantastic visuals and really is a treat to see the fluidity of the animation in action.The sound is also excellent and there are some surprisingly clear voice samples.I believe this game is like a fine wine and if you havent tasted it already i suggest you do so :)

I rented this game back in 93 and remember being disappointed cos I loved the style of the original. After playing it again recently it's back on my must get list. Hyperfunk zone!!

@segagenesis1989 Toejam and Earl has to be one of the strangest franchises ever created for a video game.The game was originally called Flojam and Whirl but after mishearing one of the developers they acctually ended up calling it Toejam and Earl.There is quite alot of controversy about the rights to these games and there characters.Apparently Sega never paid the developer royalties for the virtual consiole releases of these games and Toejam and Earls appearances in other sega games.

NIce featurette if the game Darren. I totally agree with your sentiments. When Toe jam And Earl (both 1 and 2) were released, I was not very keen on the games. It seemed like a very weird concept. However, after watching videos like yours I understand that weird gameplay is what alot of people find alluring.
