For all those wondering: no, Jugaloceratops is not a real dinosaur. It was made up back in the early 2000s as part of The Speculative Dinosaur Project.

This was a creative way to compare the sizes of many dinosaurs to an average human. Although you skipped Velociraptor and Denonycus.

I'm honestly pissed at all these people who think "This video is inaccurate" means "spinosaurus should be quadrapedal and exactly like the 2014 restoration." This video has a crap ton of errors ranging from the sizes to the dinosaurs themselves, why assume that the spinosaurus is the one everyone means?

Anyway, I'm still gonna set the JP3 spinosaurus and 2014 spinosaurus fans straight. If you don't want to hear my arguments against it then quit reading now.

I'll start with the JP3 spinosaurus. Let me just say, everyone who supports this one just because the 2014 was "debunked" is not a person who truly appreciates dinosaurs. Just because the newest and most awkward looking possible version of spinosaurus was rejected, doesn't mean an animal we know almost nothing about was just a tyrannosaurus with a sail. The only reason the JP3 spinosaurus even exists is because no actual leg bones were discovered until the 2000s, they only had a few finger fragments, a piece of the upper jaw, and a few sail bones to go off of. Even when spinosaurus was first found, it was assumed to be basically a tyrannosaurus with a sail. The JP3 model came into fashion because it was discovered tyrannosaurus rex was hunched over and didn't dragged its tail. They made the spinosaurus model the same and updated the arms according to the discovery of another spinosaur, baryonyx. Let me say that again. Everything you think you know about spinosaurus arms and hands is based on a decades old baryonyx restoration.

When the first discovery of actual spinosaurus legs were made in the 2000s, they were actually much shorter than the JP3 spinosaurus, that much is true. However, many people stupidly rushed to the decision that this made the spinosaurus quadrapedal, just like how JP3 fans assumed it was bipedal again when this model was "debunked." Let me explain this a bit more. While the legs were shorter, short enough to make spinosaurus shorter than tyrannosaurus rex by a little bit at the hips, they were not as short as shown in the 2014 restoration. If the old arms from JP3 were attached, they would still be a short distance from the ground. Even still, butthurt JP3 spinosaurus fans began freaking out and making stupid and unsupported claims like "the legs were from a juvenile spinosaurus, " ignoring the fact that no legs had been found before. This is where the "debunking" of the 2014 model comes in. It's based on the fact that spinosaurus hands were not built to support a quadrapedal position, which is true if we are still supporting the notion that spinosaurus is a tyrannosaur-like therapod, which it could easily not be, but let's just go with that. Do I trust this argument? Not a chance in hell. This argument was given to the public by the media on the internet and the majority of people who trusted it were butthurt JP3 spinosaurus fanboys. I do not think that this source should be trusted because 1. The media inflates and alters everything. Remember that fossil with tyrannosaurus rex scales imprinted on it that people thought "proved that tyrannosaurus rex didn't have feathers?" The original authors of that article said in their article that tyrannosaurus rex still very likely had feathers on some parts of its body during most of its life. 2. If you do your own research with the legs from the 2000s I mentioned earlier, it's easy to see that spinosaurus couldn't have supported its own weight without extra help. I think that spinosaurus likely very could have put weight on its front limbs, and would have needed to in order to survive, in at least some parts of its life. Even with the hands of a therapod, spinosaurus still could have supported some its weigh on its finger, it wouldn't need to knuckle walk, which is impossible with therapod hands, or face its palms towards the ground, again impossible. This would disprove both the bipedal and quadrapedal spinosaurus and still make logical sense according to what we know about both models.

Even if my model is incorrect, I still think that the true position of spinosaurus is somewhere in between the 2014 and JP3 models but I also know for a fact that we do not know even close to enough about dinosaurs as whole to state anything about them as facts. If you want a brief history on spinosaurus, you can go to the PBS Eons youtube channel, they recently made a video on it. Now, can we focus on other inaccuracies in these videos? The biggest I noticed besides spinosaurus were the lack of feathers, the carnotaurus, dinosaur coloration, and a few of the sizes with dinosaurs like giganotasaurus, argentinosaurus, and tyrannosaurus rex.

To everyone who keeps complaining about the inaccuracies in these dinosaurs, remember that this is from a show and that the show was made way before 2014.

1: Triceratops weren't that long

2: Therizinos were taller and had more feathers

3: Giganotosaurus was bigger than a T Rex lmao

But the rest are more accurate, you did a nice job.
