Here is the latest track from my album "Alphabet".

*"B is for Branches"*
It's been a while since I wrote and recorded "R is for Reach". I wanted to write something in a similar sound world and music that was textural. I was really interested in working with synths and then using percussion with lots of reverb to create tones. So this song features some special instruments including my dog's collar as jingles, a seed pod from a local tree, some leftover slate tile being played with mallets, and myself playing the cello.

I am also enjoying getting to write for minimal harmonic changes. There's a lot of stasis in this work and that's on purpose. The chord changes then become even more impactful as they happen so infrequently.

“Alphabet” is an experimental album for me. Where my last album “MMXX” was a solidified concept album, this album allows me more freedom to try new methods, sounds, and styles. Also, since I’m composing these pieces in real-time each month, the subject matter and ideas are fresh to what I’m feeling at that time in my life.

**ABOUT ALPHABET**
Each month I will release one new track from the album exclusively on YouTube. You'll be able to order the full album later on in the year, but for now you can listen here on YouTube.

This album, a follow up to my album "MMXX", is a new musical exploration where I'll be releasing music regularly over a year while also composing new tracks and of course, other projects.

Inspired by the day-to-day journey of life, "Alphabet", will include 13 tracks bridging the ambient and neo-classical genres. Once again working with synthesizers, electric guitars, strings, and piano, I'm excited to see where this journey goes and share the experience with you.
