How to use glitter for fishing lures

I must say I am simply impressed by your carving, design and painting skills. The results are so lifelike it just makes you want to go fishing! I wonder if you ever considered going for the flashiest of all natural patterns, something imitating the cardinal tetra (paracheirodon axelrodi), a colour that is very visible in dark (not murky) waters. Seems to me that it could be a hit for low light conditions especially with a glitter finish as these fishies really really shine in the water...

I did try this method with ultra fine holographic glitter... Lure is looking like it's riding rainbows (^o^)👌

Would definitely give a better effect applying the glitter that way, nice job. Have you ever considered selling these? Would love to give some of the lures you make a try and promote on my channel. Could see these hooking big mangrove jacks, barra. Anyways good job bud. Til next time... 🤙

Neat trick, the intro shows coloured lures did you use different coloured glitter or paint them afterwards?

Wrong way. Use about one table spoon clear liquid coat polyurethane in some kind small plastic cup and add glitter and mix . Add glitter to the mixture till become tick like sour cream. Use small brush or piece of spunge and start applying on lure. You'll see magic. There is no sanding, pressing glitter to flattened, more leyers. It still flat.
After that when is dry put one more layer ( or more if you like) of clear coat. DONE !
