In my opinion, if the rumors about the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 are true then it would be a much better choice than the mi note 3 considering the price difference. Great video as always!

Loved the Mi note 3, can't wait to get your full take on it. It's gonna be a great alternative for my htc m8...kinda in love with Mi6 build & in hand feeling!
But Battery life & 5" is the deal breaker for me.
If it comes to my country at a good price, then it could be my next phone!
And Chris, is it just me or the 2x zoom pictures come with washed out colors??
If it is, I hope they fix it soon.

Mi Note 3 seems like a decent phone. The camera is clearly better compared to Mi Note 2. The battery is smaller but since SD660 is more efficient than SD821 the actual battery life will probably more or less the same. The screen on Mi Note 3 is probably also better since Mi Note 2 ships with a low quality AMOLED.

When should we expect full review of Mi Note 3?
I need to know if the camera is as good as the one in Mi6?
And is it reallya big difference in audio quality between 3.5 audio jack's sound and the sound coming from thus typeC-audiojack adapter?

Have to say that Xiaomi is an awesome brand of china, and i'm using MI 5, my wife is using xiaomi note 3(6G+128G) and price is 330 us dollars, that very cheap and fantastic fleeing.
Also Huawei is another brand from China and works well on cell phone. The market of Chinese cell phone is saturated and competitive.

Actually this model targets on the retail selling rather than online selling(which is Xiaomi's main selling method) in order to contest with Oppo, Vivo and Huawei in the retail store. The productivity of Mi6 and Mix is not so good, so they need a easy-to-manufacture phone to mass produce and have the phone in-stock to satisfy the offline market.

Or it can be called Mi 6 minus because the processor is downgraded. Seems like Xiaomi can't get their product line naming and spec straight lately.

This Mi Note 3 isn't really an upgrade from Mi Note 2. There is also Redmi Note 5A with much lower spec than the predecessors, I get that it's not Redmi Note 5 but they lined it up with the other Redmi Notes. Even Mi Max 2 got the slower SD625 even though it's newer.

Imo Mi Note 3 shld be using 835, Mi Max 2 shld be using 660. Maybe they use lottery to decide their product specs.
