PM Justin Trudeau discusses India-Canada diplomatic tension with UK PM Keir Starmer

India and Canada's ties have been at an all-time low as both countries are at loggerheads over Trudeau's absurd claims. Canada continues to make “absurd, motivated” allegations against India over alleged involvement in acts of violence. Canadian Govt said that Indian HC and other diplomats are ‘persons of interest’ in a matter related to “an investigation”. Modi Govt called the accusation ascribed to the political agenda of Trudeau Govt, focused on vote bank politics. Meanwhile, PM Justin Trudeau discussed recent developments with UK PM Starmer to seek support against India. Justin Trudeau accused India of possible involvement in killing of Khalistani Terrorist Hardeep Nijjar on Canadian soil. However, Canada since Sept 2023 hasn’t been able to provide any evidence to support its “baseless, motivated” claims. Terrorist Hardeep Nijjar was shot and killed in June 2023 by two masked gunmen outside a Sikh temple he led in Surrey, British Columbia.

Nijjar was not killed by Indian agencies. He was assassinated by rival groups. The Khalistani movement was basically started by pakistan against India. Bcoz they couldn't win a war. Expected because Starmers party is labor party this was the most obvious route Trudeau was going to take but Starmer himself has in the past made remarks against Khalistanis in UK so not sure what kinda support Trudeau expects. Also UK is more interested in a FTA with India will Starmer do anything to jeopardize it? Highly unlikely. I would assume Starmer/UK govt will release generic statements but wont be supporting Trudeau on his mad quest. You know your evidence is weak when you feel you need to seek support. If you have a strong evidence all you have to do is present it to the world and they will back you up but if your evidence is weak then even other nations wont be that enthusiastic abt supporting you. This is a sign of weakness when Trudeau is seeking support.
