I mean, my breakfast is pretty sweet. Oats with 1/2 cup blueberries, 1 banana, and 2 dates (amongst other things). It's absolutely delicious though.

I cook bananas in a little coconut oil and then eat with almond butter but usually only if I am really craving sweets.

I'm filipino. And we have this filipino merienda (i think it translates to a light meal kind of like a brunch in western culture) that's called, Banana cue. It's basically plantains covered in brown sugar and deep (or shallow) fried. My brother and I would eat some after school.

I went on vacation with a British - Canadian family to Cape Cod when I was 10. They had a nanny, this family of five kids with me making six, and what they also had was a boatload, literally of every kind of fruit you could name. Apparently one fine morning years back, Canadian nanny, made the children a child version of Bananas Foster (traditionally flambe'ed.) They liked it so much they wanted it every morning. Then the children wondered aloud what other sauteed in butter with icing sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on top...fruit would also taste nice served that way. Peaches were then halved and pitted and tossed into the buttery pan, followed by mangoes and, well, you can guess the rest. Sauteed fruit, every morning, often perched on top pancakes or waffles. I brought the notion home, and to this day, I will make "sauteed fruit" and "virgin" Bananas Foster, whenever there's too much of whichever fruit, and I'm too lazy to make a pie.😄

Thanks for mentioning the tuna problem!! Also to anyone reading this, I strongly recommend the new documentary “Seaspiracy”. Real eye-opener if you still eat fish..

In México (at least in my family) it's common to cook fruits with sugar and make candies, you can get guava candy, papaya candy, grapefruit peel candy, etc. They are sooo good.
