Honestly dubbed ver of every movie and series doesnt do justice to their emotion. Thats why i recommend people watching it with the original audio and in this scene their original voice are just heartbreaking.

What's so painful about this series and especially about Season 2 is that they're both right. None of them is being an asshole, both have a storm to weather and neither of them is able to communicate (which is obvious because they're teenagers). The script is so amazingly written.

for everyone who's not understanding Simon in this scene: you guys have to see it from his perspective. Wille kinda left him alone with the tape situation by saying it's not him in the video. I understand that Wille had to do that cause of the royal family and everything but he promised Simon not to do the statement but then he still did it. Without even warning him he left him hanging in this whole situation. Another point is, that Simon does not want to be kept a secret. I mean who would like that? Especially when you outet yourself but then still have to keep your relationship a secret. That's awful. And Simon told him all of this but still Wille keeps wanting to be in a secret relationship with him. Not a single one of all the problems are really resolved (Wille isn't even really seeing it from Simons perspective, he doesn't see that all of this had consequences for him too) and he still wants a secret relationship. Like no, I would be angry too.
And this whole season, Simon was just trying to move on but Wille always kept being in his way.
So yes, Simon was kinda angry and frustrated with himself and the whole situation and how he was not able to stay away from that one person that was kinda putting him in difficult situations. So I think Simon didn't really mean everything he said, he was just confused about the whole situation, his feelings for Wille, the relationship with Marcus and how he should behave considering all of this.

(I think all he needed was some time to sort this messy situation out and come clear to himself about what he really wants. And we saw that at the end, he really wants to be with Wille, no matter what.)

I get this scene....most times we say things we don't necessarily wish to say or make it a point of view. He regretted it. On the other hand Simon victimized himself although I get his face was seen and I understand the reason why he is stuck up in that stage.

Why do people hate Simon in this scene? It is my absolute favorite. He needed ro say these words loud if he felt so. This scene lead him to realize he wants Wille no matter what.

What Simon can't accept is being a secret and with Wille's position & family that's all he'll be..I get Simon's anger here...he wants more and at this time Wille's not willing to give him that.

For those viewers hating either of the two characters, it seems you forgot that their teenagers. It’s push and pull until they figure it out. (Which they did!!!)
So S3 is gonna be so so exciting

I really liked the way they both conveyed how they really are feeling. Their acting is on point, we can actually feel how they noth are feeling just by seeing them❤❤❤

Other people have mentioned this but in this case, even though Simon seems to be making invalid points, they are both true. Simon is talking about Wilhelm's neglect towards him and his feelings in S1 and how it always had to be hidden and even when they were 'exposed', Wille denied it was him. When they talk about acceptance, Wilhelm is talking about love while Simon is talking about a public acknowledgment because he knows not to be taken advantage of in terms of his emotions - that's always been his strong suit

I can relate to Wilhelm which is why I have stayed away from relationships my whole life 😢 because I feel like keeping someone you love secret will hurt them I don’t want to hurt anyone so I stay to myself😢
