Let me tell you something, I've been avoiding tube amps for 15 years, tried all the digital, modelers, solid state.. Just bought a tube amp, and just like that my mind is blown. Monoprice 15w, 400$ Cad, JJ tubes.. Will never go back. The tone is unbelievable. For home use, nothing can beat that...

Put two vintage Twins next to each other and they also sound different.

Hey guys, great video :) loved the tones and the playing, so many incredibly good amps available for today's generation musicians!
So proud that the first amplifier you showcased is the Fender Tonemaster Super Reverb, since a not-so-little factor in its voice comes from our Jensen Speakers!
Please allow me to chime in about the Fender ToneMaster series, and add some details, in case somebody might be interested...
The ToneMaster Super Reverb actually has 4 Jensen P10R AlNiCo 10" speakers, the same that the '65 Super Reverb Reissue has. They are SO lightweight that there was no real need to develop a special neodymium version to contain the weight, and being AlNiCo they guarantee you the classic Fender tone in spades.
The first two ToneMaster amplifiers, launched last year, the Deluxe Reverb and the Twin Reverb, feature a unique speaker that was originally developed by us at Fender's request...
They asked us a speaker that should sound "exactly the same as the Jensen C12K that we normally use... but in half the weight"... like if THAT was an easy task!
However, we made it and this is how the new Jensen N12K was born and now is available also as an after-market replacement speaker, featuring our 2nd Generation Neodymium magnet. If you want to shave off some weight from your Fender amp, without losing even one ounce of the original tone... the Jensen N12K may well be what you're looking for!

The Joyo is the winner to me personally

I bought the Super Reverb and can't stop playing it. I have a Princeton, Mesa Boogie Cali Tweed, and Marshall DSL40CR... I use the Super the most. The attenuator allows me to run it at night when the kids are sleeping but still use my board, and it sounds massive on full power. It is truly a fantastic amp, regardless that it is SS. I can't recommend it enough.

To someone who doesn’t know very much about amps, as I barely understand the terminology in this, can someone suggest the most versatile amp that has good clean tone stuff, and more heavy stuff like certain muse songs??

One that isn’t much more than 150

Fender does sound good but have owned and played several tube driven Supers over the years the new digital ones are not even close.

For the joyo, are u using a boost? I have the exact same head and pretty sure the same harley benton 2x12 g12. Use a ibanez mini tube screamer as an od. Watching your demo your setup sounds tighter and bigger. Are u guys using an eq ? Any help to help dial in netter tones is appriciated

I watched several shows with a guy using a TM Twin and he was crushing it But if you do an a/b comparison these have a little less mid harmonic complexity That's about it Pretty much win win for gigging but when he plugged into tubes next amp WOW

GREAT choices... recently played through the Supro... really nice little amp... and played that Tone Master Fender a bit a year ago... was missing something for me, though nice if you want to lighten your load for local gigs. I really want to try out some of these... especially the Friedman...but why no PRS Tremonti 100 (or 15 for that matter)? Top on my list for this holiday season! 😎🎸🤘

Supro is a sleeper for sure great cleans great rock/punk tones with overdrive and will take a metal pedal perfect (revg3? 5010 take your pick)

Careful now 😅 those gibson necks have a reputation, lmao.

Also, I got my brother the Joyo zombie II and paired it with a sovtek 2x12 with the G12t75 speakers....you wanna talk about LOW END rumble?!?!? This thing shakes the house at the 9 o'clock position.

Definitly benefits from a cheap EQ pedal in the loop to tweak away any stinky frequencies you may dislike.

Hi guys, loved your video. What amp would you suggest for Taylor T5z? Something that can faithfully reproduce the full range of acoustic to electric sound this guitar can produce? I loved the Fender Tone Master, do you think it will go well T5z? Thanks for your help!
