Jay Ferguson on Lead Vocals with Randy and the guys behind him was MAGICAL! I Got A Line was released in 1969, Then in 1970, IMO, 12 Dreams was and still is a masterpiece and didn't get anywhere the recognition it deserved!

If they played this at Newport ‘69, I heard it live. They performed that day. Always loved this song.

No one ever covers it well because no the real acoustic piano is miked so well and so high in the mix. Wimpy electric pianos and early digital pianos are just not cutting it. Yeah I get it hauling a real heavy acoustic piano to a gig sucks -- but that sound makes this song.

It was a great record! A solid hook start to finish. But that’s it. There’s nothing more. No other hits, no legendary tours…nothing.
