I ended up choosing S21 Ultra because it was on sale for $400 off. Grabbed myself 256GB model for $849. With that much of a price gap, I couldn't justify iphone especially when I'm used to Android in the first place.

I got the S21 Ultra in March for my birthday and couldn’t be happier, then I used the iPhone 13 Pro Max. I usually switch back and forth between iOS and Android every other year but I don’t plan on switching back to Android anytime soon. It’s small things that might not seem like much at face value that mean so much me. Things like a cohesive UI design language, day one software updates, unmatched software support, better designed and working apps, and a superior ecosystem. That’s not saying that you can’t find the same thing in Android but normally it isn’t as cohesive as what Apple offers. I’m definitely going to miss being able to tinker with and customize every aspect of my phone but the trade offs are worth it to me. Both ecosystems have their ups and downs so pick the one that fits your lifestyle best.

Biggest annoyance with iPhones are those YouTube adds which you can bypass in Android.

iPhone 13 is the smoothest but S21 has so much features that I miss with iOS. Camera of iPhone 13 isn’t necessarily better than S21. In a lot of times the S21 is better so it depends on the situation and preference. Have both and I will sell one of them and I think I will keep the S21 because of the functionality and better looking display. Although the iPhone is very smooth which I like a lot.

If you can compare a phone that came out at the beginning of the year with a phone which came at the end, then there is no doubt how strong Samsung holds the competition. And if it had all the missing things from last year, I guess it would've been more strong than any out there. Hope S22 would smoke all of them as rumors goes
