If the items are continuous, instead of “thresholds” you will have “intercepts”, with one intercept per item.

Each intercept would be interpreted as the expected score on the item, for someone with a score of 0 on the latent trait. As the factors are centered such that the mean score is zero, the intercept of an item can be interpreted as the expected score on that item for someone with an average level of the latent trait.
