Primitive Reflexes

Once you learn about primitive reflexes, and you suspect that your child might have some retained primitive reflexes, what the heck do you do next?!
.
First, it's always best to find a professional who is trained in primitive reflex integration. They can test your child for specific reflexes & provide an individualized plan! Occupational therapists, physical therapists, or even chiropractors often have training in this area.
.
Then, follow the plan! It will likely be a 30-60 day program of completing 1 or more exercises twice a day. Be sure to communicate with the professional so they know what you and your family can take on! Consistency is key 🔑
.
Finally, be sure to include a variety of gross motor & sensory activities into your child's day. Climbing and crawling, running, jumping ... These are all great activities that can help facilitate progress!
.

Any tips on finding a professional in my area who is trained in Prims? I literally just has an OT in my community group I posted in looking for a provider say that there "is no evidence to support that treatment".
