Tuesday on the News Hour, the Middle East is again on edge after Iran launches missiles at Israel in retaliation for strikes on Iran-backed groups in Lebanon and Gaza. The search for flooding survivors continues in North Carolina as the long cleanup and recovery process begins. Plus, the vice presidential candidates will square off in their only debate as the election enters the home stretch.
Correction: In the segment on the Israel strikes, we used incorrect titles for Suzanne Maloney, vice president of the foreign policy program at the Brookings Institution, and David Makovsky, director of the Koret Project on Arab-Israel Relations at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy. We regret the error.
