Diagonal Seam Tape

diagonal seam tape is amazing stuff. after you line it up, score with a pin anything that might need to move. for example, my bobbin case is right there. but I scored around it and now I can replace the bobbin without having to redo my seam tape

I use green painters "frog" tape for all kinds of things when sewing. It will release from tissue paper. The edge could be placed on the center line like that and it would work too. Great to know!

I think you can probably do with with any washi tape. Just draw a line down the middle if it doesn’t have one. Genius!!! I’m gonna look into doing this for my sewing machine, I have trouble keeping straight lines 😅

The problem I have is that the lines on the tape are fat. So am I lining up my fabric on the left or the right of the line? I'm so confused

¹/⁴" lines are the black lines, for stitching on both sides of the center "line", [¹/⁴" away from the center of the block] the point follows left or right black line!!!

Man I'd have to reposition that tape at least 3 times to get it straight and look at her doing it perfect in one zoop. Looks like it would be super helpful though once it's on. I think I'd want a gorilla tape version so I'd not ever have to redo it😂😂

When my grandma was teaching us as kids, she put a few layers of foam tape stacked up next to the foot to act as a bumper for the seam allowance. 😂
