You couldn't have bought one that look'd as good as that Paul, it's brilliant. Well done Mitch and Paul, thanks for sharing.

13:00 - Watching that piece drop in w/ that little lip of the ring still in perfect alignment was very satisfying.... Now I'm really motivated to play around w/ a mill and making stuff like that, I'd probably be giggling like an idiot after making a part like that and watching it fit perfectly. 😂
Great work Paul and thanks for the great camera work by Mitch... 😁👍

Paul, this iggy series is absolutely brilliant. From "salvage fabbing" the screws, to final masterpiece is just an inspired work of art. Well done, man. That you even added the "fix" for the major design flaw of the Tiger Cub mill (lack of a primary tensioner) is a shining example of "how it should be done". The final product even appears like "it belongs there". Damned fine work, soup to nuts!

Excellent, Excellent job. Your smile upon completion of each step never gets old.And Mitch is indeed a fine filmmaker a scholar, a gentleman and a judge of fine women....lol

Triumphs tolerances were always more of a guide than an absolute, I'm not surprised there's some runout on the end of the crank.

That is a very nice ignition mount and makes timing so much easier.

Wow, you really have a lot invested in this part, both time and money!

Mike from mo. Us here, i really like your channel! Im a retired machinist...automotive, engines, , heads cranks blocks etc. Spent years sinking forging dies. The way you work reminds me of how it was in the good ole days..you figgure it out an make it happen...then cnc machine tools came along...then we were programmers..and set up men..i guess its the way things are....anyway i miss the way a man could get into the work an make it happen 😊 nice work! Keep up the good job, mt.

I came here thanks to a recommondation of a friend and thoroughly enjoy your train of thought. Coming from the CAD/CAM world i feel like your process introduces a whole new perspective to problem solving. Thanks Mitch and Paul!

Nice free style machining.
Prototyping is sometimes more fun than just buying stuff.
Take care.

Your videos are great, apart from being very informative I find them therapeutic...your a bit like the Bob Ross of the fabrication world.
Could you do a film about drill sharpening? Your drill bits are always super sharp with equal swarf coming of each cutting edge...many thanks

Awesome job of milling Paul on that chain tensioner if you make more use a aluminum plate and tig on the posts.😸

Very nicely done Paul. Amazing things can be done with manual machine tools. I love it.
Best wishes, Dean at Retromeccanica, Oxfordshire, UK.

I have to admit, you got away with a lot less profile than I thought. That totally could have been a weldment. But it's also incredibly satisfying to see such a complex part whittled from a solid billet BY HAND so I'll let it pass. :-)

I did enjoy watching. Thank You. God bless you two.

Beautiful work Paul - love where that third bolt post went, and my, what a lot of chips!

Great you figured out how to add a chain tensioner where there wasn't one originally, an improved design. It may be a 60 year old motor, but it's getting more modern with every change you make - hopefully with reliability outcomes. Thanks Paul.

I think that some people wont realize the cost of setting up parts up on the milling, lathe, material and fabrication used for jigs the material, welding etc for the actual part and the level of quality involved.
This will be an expensive bike LOL
Great job Sir!
