I love your book I am using at Tyndale Seminary! Great work an awesome look at Bible study and Hermeneutics. Do you have a Church web site and or page?

So I guess there seems to be a push for each believer to be as knowledgeable as a pastor. What I mean, is, what exactly is the role of the pastor (shepherd) if everyone knows as much as he does? Where's the distinction? Didn't our Lord tell Peter to feed His sheep? It's like being a gunfighter in a town full of Doc Holliday's.
To me, it seems that the pastor has the time to study in a more in-depth manner than the average person in the pew (or whatever) and can (and should) spend each day in deep study, whereas the average person has to go to work, or, has a regular job. I'm not really getting my point across as I am exhausted but wanted to say something as I think this hippy. new age notion of everyone being the same is removing distinctions and trivializing an important office. When do you see sheep standing next to the shepherd?
For my money, I respect the office of the pastor-teacher and am willing to sit under his authority while I am in a service that he is conducting. This whole notion of being afraid to have someone in authority is disturbing as well. How can we respect God if we can't respect those chosen to lead us here?
Also, I really wish people would stop calling the music leader the worship leader! The pastor-teacher is the worship leader!
