The only problem with your channel is that your ideas are frustratingly fun and interesting. very happy to see more Noq development, keep it up

As a beginner/intermediate programmer,
this content is pure gold !!!
I love to listen to your thought processes
because it is teaching me how to structure data.
Thank you for the content, Tsoding. Cheers !!!

What's really cool about what you're doing is that you're actually proving things! Proofs just are converting things around :3 It's what's so cool about messing with formal systems

I watch alot of your streams on youtube. Love them!! What books would you recommend on programming languages? On another note, what books would you recommend in general?

Watched the VOD on Twitch, hope Youtube counts my like. You've inspired me to try this, except in C++. I'm hoping to compile it to WebAssembly eventually, have you thought about that?
Speaking of which, Porth would make a great WASM language, being stack based and all.

So will you be rewriting this in itself (once it's turing complete)?

./bootstrap noq.noq
./noq noq.noq
./noq noq.noq
./noq noq.noq
...

Best noq noq joke in existence.

To run this program, should it be a straightforward task of installing rust (does rust come with the cargo program?), adding it to my path variable, cloning the repository, and just running it? Or would it be more involved needing to install other libraries or something first?
I’ve never used rust, (but am reasonably competent with programming) and I’m a little busy due to being bad at time management, and I’m trying to estimate how long it would take for me to get this running on my machine, as it seems like noq may be a useful program for me to use (but I’m unsure because I haven’t tried it yet)

1:08:35 So the problem wasn't too much copy-pasting, but not enough copy-pasting.

Sooo while the proof of the derivative of x² is a long way to come, how close is the engine to being able to compute derivatives manually?
For example, defining rules such as der(sin(X)) = cos(X)der(X) and so on? Also, wouldn't it need support for at least integer arithmetic?

they might not be famous but imagine if both of the languages become famous one day. They will say this man created for the fist time two programming languages

dud, while inventing your own language look for brevity, non-repeatability and expandability while fullfilling most common functionalities modern languages and their extensions- menas popular APIS and frameworks. good luck

If a language pretends to offer reflection but doesn't do something as simple as building in a way to determine the number of enumerations then I'd say it's designed wrong. I hope you're mistaken and it actually does, but if not, I'll add it to my list of reasons to hate Rust.
