This Virat Kohli clip from India's world cup match of him video calling Anushka and his kids has got us all emotional, but this is also a lesson in relationships for us all.

This lesson has also helped me filter out the people who ACTUALLY care from those who are with you for just a season, a part of your life.

Learning to let go of relationships where the other person isn’t putting in efforts was a hard pill for me to swallow. I’d tell myself made up excuses, they live far away, they have college, they have to upload a video, they are with friends, etc.

Reality is, if they wanted to, they would.

Those who ACTUALLY care will come to you, no matter the distance, the work, family, etc.

Like Charles Bukowski says “Don’t try”.

The best relationships, romantic or otherwise are automatic, effortless to start and don’t need pushing through from one person or another.

But never make someone a priority if they don’t make you their priority. That’s one toxic way to live a miserable life.

And so “no response” is actually the biggest response if you know how to look.

The right ones will never ghost you. The right ones will be at your side, when you’re at your worst. The right ones will stay even after they notice all your flaws and imperfections.

But firstly, we have to achieve our goals. If she or he was not supporting you at your hard time, then it's right to say I'm busy. I'll call you later. If she or he was understanding, then they will surely support you at this hard time, and then they deserve to live every moment with you when you achieve your goals. Anushka Sharma had supported him in his hard time when many had said he'd finished, Many had questioned his place in the team, and Virat had already achieved most of his goals. Now he just wants to enjoy his time with his family, and we know how much he loves his wife and children. He had focused on his goals when they mattered the most, but we are not able to understand these things. We ignore our goals at an important time and then regret when time has gone from our hands, and for whom we wasted our time, she or he will also leave at that phase.
