For the VS SMB reference you should have used the death sound effect from All Stars and some kind of shooting sound effect from a shooting game on the SNES

The "VS Super Mario Bros." section doesn't sound right to my ears. I love the rest of this with the references to the regular Ground theme from Super Mario: All-Stars, but I hear the "VS Super Mario Bros." section as more percussive. Like the rest of the band cuts out and it's just the Latin percussion section going wild.
