There's a charm to it because it's not "singing" but her saying the words she means to say melodically. Her voice really captured how you'd normally say it to a person very well.

Her voice is cozy nice.
In the movie Hunger Games, her singing was very comforting.

I love Jennifer Lawrence’s cover of this song. But I totally didn’t know it was her too until I saw this YouTube short.

Interestingly enough, though, watching this short made me curious about the song and its history. So I did some sleuthing….

“Something Stupid” was evidently majorly popularized by Frank Sinatra and his daughter Nancy in 1967. It is the only song duet by a father and daughter duo, I believe. Their version of the song was so well received that it became an international hit!

But the song was not actually written by the Sinatras. Instead it was evidently written and recorded the year prior (1966) by a gentleman named Clarence Carson Parks, II. He and his wife Gaile Foote sang it together first.

I bet Mr. Parks and his wife loved that the Sinatras took the song and made it such a worldwide hit. But I also bet they would have thought it’s cool how a modern actress and social media has introduced the song to whole new generations!!!
