Back in the 1960s, climbers venturing up Ball's Pyramid said they found strange insects lying on the rocks, and after carrying out investigations scientists said this was Ball's pyramids best kept secret. It turns out that a small bush existed under the pyramid, and it was home to over 20 stick insects that were thought to have been extinct.
