I understand there is a pandemic but keeping our husbands out of the labor it’s absolutely ridiculous!! I’m having a csection and tubal ligation and my dr is saying I’m going to be alone ... no woman needs to be alone during pregnancy and no woman wants a stranger holding her hand!

I am furious about this after all the campaigning to allow partners to be there... re birth they are still saying until active labour your partner won’t be allowed in? What is the point in that if they are allowed in later anyway? This is my first baby & I am really anxious- I don’t need the anxiety of not knowing whether I will be alone aswell. I opted for a birth centre (so no real painkillers) as they said my partner would be allowed in whole time but I do not trust this will happen with all the broken promises. So I may be toughing it out doing a natural birth for nothing?! I appreciate we have to help the NHS but this is not acceptable.
