Im 15 years old, I am raised in a family of athiest. I admit that at one point even after all the knowledge God had taught me, I felt tempted to be an athiest, but I promised God that no matter what happens, I will continue to pursue, love him, have faith in him. He truly never stops working even when I dont see it. He taught me to love those who seek my hurt with the shedding of his own blood, and many more things. I want to remove everything that might keep me away from him, I am ready to turn to Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. And those are not empty words, I've come so far with him. I am 52 years old and was in a homosexual relationships for 35 of those years and I had no problem at all giving up that life for Jesus Christ. I took a vow of celibacy, gave up drugs, drinking etc. NOTHING comes before Christ. Not even my own son. I wouldnt trade in my relationship with God for anyone or anything. I was married to an unbeliever for 25 years. I didn't wait on the Lord for my husband. My ex-husband was abusive in many ways. I finally got the strength to get out. I rededicated my life to the Lord. I promised HIM that I wouldn't consider dating anyone that didn't put JESUS first above all things. If the Lord has anyone for me that's fine. But if HE doesn't I'm good with that as well. It's better to be alone and staying focused on the Lord than being in a bad relationship that will take your attention away from the Lord. This is absolutely shocking. I have been feeling like a bit of a failure lately. I cannot provide a house for my wife, and for my son who is due in a month, and I cannot buy a car that will give us the piece of mind that nothing will go wrong with it mid trip. I finally had a moment where I broke down and prayed for help to overcome my sin, to have the strength to do what is needed to provide for my family. I pulled up this video and I realized that I am putting my stock in worldly things, instead of spiritual value. I am a little ashamed on how I constantly need to be reminded that I should count my blessings instead of tallying what I do not own. Thank you so much for these videos. They constantly help me to want to be a better person because I want to honor god for what he has done for all of us, and what he sacrificed for us to return to him. I’m American. And you said the word complacency my heart dropped. Complacency is not a word we use often. So the phrase “complacency will drag you down”. I fluttered, because the US Army has a saying “Complacency Kills”. Although, they use it in a different context (get complacent, or comfortable in a war like setting and you die). It works in a Christian setting. Die or stay on guard, spiritually, and have eternal life.

Im 21 and i call myself a Christian and when i was younger i could really mean it, i liked the person i was and i felt like i went through life following God, but what you said was right on the money. I met a girl and slowly started slipping into a more wordly life.
