One year we ordered cupcakes for a Halloween party. We did purple and black swirl frosting. They were awful and bitter. Never again. I can imagine what the ice cream tasted like.

So there's NO BLACK DYE in this ice cream. It's activated charcoal. So my question for you, is how bad is the toilet blackened after eating a pint of this? (I know you don't actually know this since you didn't finish it)

My eldest son loves Japan—the country, culture, customs and cuisine—and he shared with me an interesting flavor: black-colored squid ink ice cream. This review very much reminded me of that odd ice cream flavor.

This was on sale at Walmart for $1 so I picked it up. Looks like tarry stool. Had an icy texture not creamy and was soft after 2 days in the freezer. It also had a deep blue color buried in the tar black. Strange indeed. It was worth the $1, but not $5 for sure.

It was totally tasteless to me, I couldn’t give it any more of a try. The texture was off as well. Can I return it to Walmart. 😂

After watching this I gave it another try, I did spot the due flavor, bit I don’t feel the desire to take it back. 😂 I also bought the butterscotch I searched and watched your review on it and it wasn’t bad but I’d not buy this brand again.

Yikes! If they were going do it they needed to make it good. Could have been a super dark chocolate. Wouldn’t have needed as much dye.

I "felt bad" for The Void ice cream when I saw that it was all by its lonesome in the ice cream aisle, while all the rest of the flavors got to "hang out" together on the endcap. I think I'll buy it just for this reason.

It's a no for me because I remember as a kid and even as an adult I do not like the black icing on cake that dye flavor is nasty
