Arteta's response to the journo's question on Havertz abuse was the strongest, most direct, most sincere i've seen Arteta. Respect to him

Charles, I have been a daily listener of your show for years now, precisely because of your levelheadedness. It's easy to get emotional when Arsenal aren't playing well, but you always keep the bigger picture in mind. There will always been crazy and hateful people, and I find that ignoring the crazy and calling out the hate - as you did in this video - is the best way to go. Thank you for your fantastic content!

On a side note, I appreciate the down-to-earth nature of this podcast. My kids are 2 and 4, and I often relate to the life challenges you share in your videos. I live in the US, and it's a good reminder that despite our differences, we all share the same problems!

the reason i watch your channel is because of your measured approach. I dont come here for sensationalism, i come here for your integrity and your dedication to the arsenal community - club, players, fans, and the like. Thank you Charles.

I brought my son over from the States to see the United match and although the result was disappointing, the experience, stadium and fans made for an amazing time. Fortunately we did not come across any abusive talk and I 100% agree with your take. Love your integrity and thoughtfulness Charles. I’ll keep on enjoying your content every day.

Fairplay to you Charles for holding yourself accountable and then calling out people in the comments. Rooting this out from our community starts with us.

Well done Charles, I avoid all social media after defeats for that very reason. I didn’t even watch the video you posted yesterday because I knew I’d be tempted to read the comments and they would infuriate me.
People need to not be so reactionary, yes we have been beaten in the last two games but based on the performances we will be fine- our luck just needs to turn in front of goal

People sending them type of messages need to be held accountable. Everyone’s annoyed at him missing but to be saying them type of things are unacceptable.

Great respect to you Charles for your take on all this. A real voice of reason. Something like only 6 Arsenal players haven't missed games due to injury this season. Liverpool only had like 6 injured, and none of the stars. Let's all keep logical and support the team. COYG

I was transfixed by your video today - Love you even more, I feel like you have just said what a bunch of us have been thinking for ages. This ‘Performative Rage’ that we see on other channels annoys me to no end. I come to your channel because you are always reasonable, balanced and authentic. Hell Charles, I even like your preambles about what happening with your family and why you’re late for a video (which you never are by the way - we can wait). Thank you for all you do - I think your are more appreciated than you know.

I deeply resonated with the comment that distinguished between being a supporter and a fan.

Having supported Arsenal since 2001, I often reflect on my own growth as a supporter. Have these years taught me to view football through different lenses? Have I learned to embrace both the frustrations and the glory?

Being a supporter means being part of a greater narrative - one that includes the whole rollercoater of emotions, including inevitable moments of anger and frustration.
It's much like a friendship. You don't abandon a friend when they're struggling, and you certainly wouldn't hurl toxic, inhuman comments at them.

Yet some people do exactly this to Arsenal, perhaps because they know the club will always be there, unable to respond or end the relationship first. But as that insightful comment suggested, there are deeper implications to such behavior. When people react in these extreme, hostile ways, they contribute to creating a toxic atmosphere around the club. How the hell does that serve the club you claim to 'love'?

Absolutely love your balanced views Charles. I got sick and tired of another online media platform (I won't mention their name) that i no longer watch them. Arsenal as a club get so much negativity from the main steam media that we certainly don't need to turn our our own. These people disgust me! This season we've had five years worth of bad luck, aswell as many players under performing for one reason or another. However, the real fans need to get behind the players when they really need them and not only support them when the going is good.

Love Havertz, hasn't had good games in the past two games but I will not forget how good he was in the run in and that Southampton goal and the Brentford goals, then of course the Chelsea goal, will back Arteta and the boys always, #COYG!

Spot on Charles. Good on you for not being reactive. We’re all fuming by how the team is performing but as a human being you need to not cross a certain line

You’re 💯 right Charles. I like your measured way of analysing games and players. Think you do it in the right way. Not about abusing players it’s about not crossing any lines.
