1. I drop an item in the pressure plate and go to get the water bucket, place it down and hopefully my friend reaces the water.
2. Dont care about my friend, throw an item in the pressure plate and do an MLG to escape freedom.

The amount of "Throw an item onto the pressure plate" comments is absolutely triggering to me.

There's a difference between the stone and wood pressure plates for a reason people. Even if they're joking, it's still triggering me.

Shortest easiest solution: use the 4 string to make a block of wool, place it near the item frame. Hop onto the block, break the frame and the rest is history 😎

Another way you could save your friend would to also craft a fishing rod, and break the water bucket on the frame and stand on the pressure plate. Then, you could pull the bucket with your fishing rod and place the water down to where your friend is

my version:
use an item to put on the pressure plate. get the water and use it. don’t help your friend, it’s his fault he didn’t get enough blocks to climb up

The logical way: throw an item onto the pressure plate, grab the bucket, place it down close to them. As you go down your friend will be able to jump into it

Simple way: Throw an item on the pressure plate and walk across, use the water bucket to get down and free your friend and you both get down safely.
