The Joshlin Smith kidnapping trial continues - 09 April 2025

The trial within a trial to determine the admissibility of statements by Jacquen Appollis and Steveno van Rhyn in the Joshlin Smith kidnapping and human trafficking trial resumes in the High Court in Saldanha Bay today, with Sergeant Dawid Fortuin returning to the stand for cross-examination.

Our courts are just as pathethic....lots of sympathy to the poor Judge having so much patience

Who is more important now? The so-called assaulted accused or a missing child who needs to be found? Case is dealt with very unprofessional from day one. Only person who we look up to and respect is Judge Erasmus. He is calm but firm etc. I would have lost my temper long ago. The time i worked in a court there was still total respect. There's so many disruptions here and case not "flowing". Same questions over and over etc.
