I guess SpongeBob touching the nuke created UnBob. UnBob just wants to make friends and fit in with society, but he fucks up everything he touches and everything he touches holds the same curse. Gap in time, Patrick fights for survival as SpongeBob hides and UnBob (or one of the cronies) mutates the town bit by bit. UnBob finds SpongeBob and Patrick makes his way to him, but I guess Patrick succumbs and we don’t know what happened to SpongeBob. I’m sure BFP will add more to this as it’s his longest series (unless Mr. Smiles is longer). Oh, and Plankton tried to find an antidote, but Unbob trapped him and made clones out of him

I don't know you'll read this comment after 4 weeks ago but the grand absorber/ unbob is not the real spongebob, he is his hand, the real one touched the nuclear bomb and lost his hand, leaving only his hand to mutate into an evil clone, the difference between spongebob and unbob is their eyes, spongebob has blue and unbob has red/ eyeless, also spongebob os mising his left arm, he wasn't fully aware about his evil clone.
